Every jar, bean, and spice is our way of honoring Kodagu’s rich earth, vibrant communities, and timeless traditions — with a hope to share its magic with the world.
What Benduta Means
Benduta blends two Kodava Tak words: Bende (Friends and Family) and Oota (Food). For us, Benduta is a celebration of food, family, and friendship.

Devi Villa Estates – The Heart of Our Produce
Tucked away in the forested hills of Kutta, South Kodagu, Devi Villa is a family-grown estate shaped by generations of care, tradition, and Kodagu’s timeless hospitality. For over 60 years, this land has given us shade-grown coffee and hand-harvested spices — nurtured through sustainable, earth-conscious practices that honour both nature and community.
Our Coffee
Grown in the cradle of the Western Ghats — a UNESCO-recognized biodiversity hotspot — our coffee thrives under the canopy of towering mahogany, rosewood, jackfruit, and wild fig trees. These native giants do more than provide shade — they anchor the soil, invite birds and bees, and breathe life into the estate. Every cup of Devi Villa coffee is a deep, flavourful tribute to the forest it comes from.
People at the Core
At Devi Villa, people come before everything else. We believe in fair pay, lasting relationships, and deep respect for the hands that nurture our land. Many of our plantation workers have been with us for decades — their skills passed down through generations, their connection to the soil unshakable. It is their care, craft, and quiet pride that shape every batch of Benduta coffee, spices, and honey.
